Sample card (back)

If the unthinkable happens, you are prepared with the Safety Kids ID Card. It features a color photograph of your child, physical descriptors, and your childs thumb print all on a tamper-proof PVC card that is the size of a credit card. This card will provide authorities with valuable information that will aid them in the search for your child. Time is of utmost importance and having a current Safety Kids ID Card in your wallet, will save valuable time.
If Your Child is Missing

1. Contact law enforcement right away. Don't delay!

2.Contact your child's friends and neighbors. Have them start a phone tree.

3. When the police arrive, have your current Safety Kids ID Card ready along with a description of the clothing they were wearing.

What you should do if there is an Amber Alert.
Don't call law enforcement unless you have vital information. They will be extremely busy running down tips and leads. Tune to your local TV, radio station, or visit the website http://amberalert.alaska.gov/ for updates. Be on the lookout for anyone matching the description of the victim, suspect, or vehicle.
